Online Pool Opening Forms – Pool Service Forms

Online Pool Opening Form

Several years ago, my client wanted me to add online forms for pool service (pool opening form, pool closing form, pool service form and an all-inclusive form) to their website. The forms were long and somewhat tedious and included a few options for pool opening pre-payment discounts which made them even longer and busier. As I was building them, I remember saying I can’t believe anyone is going to use them but I’m being paid to create them, and I need the money, so away I went.

To my surprise, I couldn’t have been more wrong. We launched the forms and sent an email blast announcing our new online pool opening form and submissions came in almost immediately. The pool opening form (and all of the forms) had an e-commerce option, so the user could insert a credit card to pay online too. Again, much to my surprise, the majority of pool opening form submissions came through with a full payment.

Heres a couple Pool Service form tips:

  • Check and re-check your text and pricing – Users will expect the price they see online.
  • Test and re-test to make sure everything is functioning properly.
  • Deadlines for Discounts & offers – Make sure your form clearly outlines your discounts and offers for pre-payment.
  • Additional Services – The form will be long but you need to break out all of your additional services.
  • SSL or HTTPS – You will need to make sure your site has a secure certificate or users won’t use the form.
  • Acknowledgements of service requirements – Make sure you have outlined what you expect from the customer and exactly what is included in your service prior to arrival and if you need to return. Have a separate checkbox for agreement.
  • Include a downloadable PDF of your pool service contract. Some users will still get into the form and not complete it but will print out the contract and complete the process over the phone or in the store.
  • Mobile responsive – The form must be mobile responsive. We found that over 50% of the users were completing the form on a mobile device. Many were doing this at work during the day.
